Received Order for Four Generators for Gas Turbine Power Plants with a Total Output of 2,400MW to be Constructed in the Eastern Coast of Qatar

Mitsubishi Generator has received orders for total of four gas turbine generators to be installed in the Facility-E project in the eastern coast of Qatar. These generators will be supplied in collaboration with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, which will provide gas turbines for this project.
The project will be operated by the Ras Abu Fontas Power Company funded by Qatar Energy, Qatar Electricity & Water Company, Sumitomo Corporation, Shikoku Electric Power Co., Inc., KOSPO (Korea Southern Power Corporation), and KIND (Korea Overseas Infrastructure and Urban Development Corporation). The engineering, procurement and construction will be handled by Samsung C&T Engineering & Construction Group of South Korea, with operations scheduled to commence in 2028.
The total output of 2,400MW represents approximately 20% of Qatar's national grid's capacity. These power plants will contribute to the stability of the power grid as baseload power stations.
