Mitsubishi Generator Receives Order for Two Generators for O Mon 4 Gas Turbine Power Plant in Vietnam with a Total Output of 1,155,00 kW

2025-10-20

Mitsubishi Generator has received an order for two gas turbine generators for O Mon 4 Gas Turbine Combined Cycle (GTCC) Power Plant currently under construction in Can Tho City, southern Vietnam.

These generators will play a central role in the gas turbine combined cycle power generation facility, which is expected to have a total output of 1,155,000 kW. These generators will be supplied in collaboration with Mitsubishi Power, which will provide the gas turbines, and contribute to the provision of cleaner and more reliable electricity.

The groundbreaking ceremony for O Mon 4 took place in late August in Can Tho, South Vietnam, marking the start of construction, and the plant is scheduled for completion in 2028. This Plant aims to provide stable electricity for the Mekong Delta, boosting Petrovietnam’s installed capacity to more than 9,300MW, equivalent to about 10% of Vietnam’s national power system.

Mitsubishi Generator will continue to strive for the proliferation of high-quality and high-efficiency generators, contributing to the stable supply of electricity essential for economic development worldwide, as well as supporting the realization of a sustainable decarbonized society.
