Mitsubishi Generator Secures Landmark Gas Turbine Generator Order in Saudi Arabia

Mitsubishi Generator, will supply gas turbine generator for this project cooperating with Mitsubishi Power, a power solutions brand of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) which will supply gas turbine for a new industrial steam and electricity cogeneration plant project in Saudi Arabia developed by a consortium led by Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA), one of the largest listed integrated utility companies in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and JERA Co., Inc., Japan's largest power generation company.
The new plant will produce electricity and steam for a petrochemical complex located in Jubail in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The new, 475 megawatt (MW) cogeneration power plant will be developed by a special purpose entity owned by TAQA (51%) and JERA (49%) and it will power the Saudi Aramco Total Refining and Petrochemical Company (SATORP) Strategic Expansion. SATORP is a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and TotalEnergies. The SATORP Strategic Expansion petrochemical complex is expected to house one of the largest mixed-load steam crackers in the Gulf region.

Mitsubishi Generator will supply a generator for this project cooperating with Mitsubishi Power, a power solutions brand of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) which will supply gas turbine.
