Mitsubishi Generator Receives 2 units of Generator Orders for 500MW Combined Cycle Power Plant in Sarawak, Malaysia

Mitsubishi Generator Co., Ltd., has received an order for 2 units of generators for the 500MW gas turbine combined cycle (GTCC) power plant in Sarawak, Malaysia.
Mitsubishi Generator will supply generators for this project cooperating with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) which will supply gas turbine and steam turbine.
Located in Miri, a city in northeastern Sarawak, the project is owned and operated by PETROS Power Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of Petroleum Sarawak Berhad (PETROS), the Sarawak-owned oil and gas company. The operational commencement of the GTCC power plant is planned in 2027. Upon completion, the GTCC power plant will ensure sustainable energy supply for Northern Sarawak by providing sufficient energy capacity for Sarawak's future power demand and growth and is also ready for hydrogen co-firing in the future.
Cooperating with MHI, Mitsubishi Generator has also secured a Long-Term Service Agreement (LTSA) with PETROS to ensure the stable operational performance of the power plant following its commercial operation.
Mitsubishi Generator will continue making effort to achieve carbon neutral society by providing generators which has high quality and high efficiency.
