Hydro generators
Under contract from Hitachi Mitsubishi Hydro Corporation, which was established by integrating the hydroelectric power generation businesses of Hitachi, Mitsubishi Electric, and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Mitsubishi Generator manufactures hydro generators with varying power generation capacities and rotational speeds suitable for individual plants around the world.
For pumped-storage hydroelectric plants, we manufacture two types of hydro generators: fixed- and variable-speed generators.

Generators for special applications (short-circuit generators, synchronous condensers, MG sets)
Our state-of-art technologies accumulated through extensive experience with turbine generators enables us to design and manufacture generators for special applications.
Mitsubishi Generator has a number of supply experience in short-circuit generators, synchronous condensers, MG (motor-generator) sets, etc. Short-circuit generators are mainly supplied to research institutions and manufacturers for electrical equipment, and used in verification tests by utilizing the large currents supplied from intentional short circuit. Synchronous condensers contribute to grid stability by supplying reactive power. MG (motor-generator) sets are used as a variable-speed power source for nuclear reactor recirculation pumps, enabling safe shutdown in the event of power loss.
